Sound of the Space

I devised and implemented “The Sound of the Space”, an evolving soundscape for The Spacewhich automatically reflected the site’s content. This worked by regularly sampling audio from the most recent media added to the site and creating a soundscape by mixing parts of that audio together, all automatically. With: Matthew Herbert

Consultancy

I was responsible for collecting and analysing technical requirements for the BBC Children’s Department’s move to MediaCityUK. I acted as a member of the Technical Design Authority, feeding Children’s requirements to the delivery team, to ensure a smooth transition on their move from Television Centre in West London to MediaCityUK in Salford.

EEG Remote

I lead the development and testing of a brainwave (EEG) controlled TV remote control which allowed less able viewers to change the television channel up or down and turn the television on and off.

iOS Viewer

I designed and developed an iOS application for displaying real-time camera metadata (e.g. GPS location and camera orientation), on an interactive map from streamed XML data and allowing the user to choose a camera to view. This was part of the european project – VSAR.
